1- In less than a minute, tell us who you are and why we keep hearing good things about you?
When it comes to labels, I am a mom of two amazing boys, a wife, a media executive, and a yogi. I try to be kind, humble, generous, and always willing to do what I can to help others.
2- What were the pivotal roadblocks and challenges you encountered along the way that helped you define your path?
I have experienced a lot of loss in my family over the years, and movement in its many forms—ballet, dance, and yoga—has been the most useful therapy. Sitting and analyzing did not move the needle for me but grabbing the ballet barre day in and day out and getting on the mat and engaging in daily practice helped me move forward, heal, and carry on.
3- Why did you choose this field? Who were your role models? And what pushed you to learn and become who you are?
I love yoga in particular because if it is practiced correctly, it is not as competitive or self-critical as, say, ballet. My role model is not a teacher per se but more the goal of constantly learning. I like to learn from all styles of yoga and all teachers.
4- What is your legacy? Do you care about leaving a legacy?
My legacy will be to raise two boys who are self-aware, kind, and treat this planet in a way that ensures it will be there for their kids.
5- What can we all do right now to make this world a better place?
I really loathe the state of our environment right now, and I would love to be able to make an impact in that arena. I think we can all take small steps to make a difference collectively.
6- In less than a minute, without sounding like a used car salesperson, tell us where to find you and what is the next big thing that everyone should be anticipating from you?
Next big thing—getting certified in Yoga nidra to sleep better and share yummy meditations.
