Warrior Flow Insiders: Christian Borja

1- In less than a minute, tell us who you are and why we keep hearing good things about you?

I'm a Fitness Coach, dad, musician, ocean-sports enthusiast, animal lover, and food lover. I focus on living my life from the perspective of my cup half full. I instill this perspective in clients and family and help them live their best life!

2- What were the pivotal roadblocks and challenges you encountered along the way that helped you define your path?

My pivotal point was hitting rock bottom. I was touring with two bands and living a toxic life, addicted to alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs, and I was in a very negative mindset. The first incident was with the law, and I was looking at the possibility of going to prison for a very long time when I was twenty. After that, I began to clean up my act a little bit but was still struggling from time to time. When I had my son at twenty-three, I really changed everything around and did a full 180. I got back to a regular fitness routine, cleaned up my health, quit smoking cigarettes and doing drugs, and cut back my drinking big time. All together I knew what kind of responsibility I was in for and changed the things I needed to change to enter this new chapter. 3- Why did you choose this field? Who were your role models? And what pushed you to learn and become who you are?

To be honest, my family has always been into health and fitness. For a while, I was kind of like the prodigal son living a toxic life and going down a dark road. When it was time to change, I realized that I really had to surround myself with my family—the only people I could trust, the only people I knew would motivate me to do the right things. With that, I got back to my roots and began training religiously again. Once I changed my lifestyle and found a routine that worked for me, I fell in love with the way I felt, the way I was beginning to look, and just became happy. My family definitely helped me. My mom's nutrition, yoga, massage, and healing background and my specialized fitness and martial arts background provided a good path that allowed me to get to where I am today.

4- What is your legacy? Do you care about leaving a legacy?

My dream and the legacy I wanted was to be a legendary guitar player, like Slash or Jimi Hendrix...LOL. However, once I became a father and had a family that all changed, my priorities changed, with that I found real happiness. I look back on the dark places I've been compared to where I am now and want to help people find the best in life as I have—to find happiness, peace, and love. The chance to help people do that is what gets me up every day at 4:30, stoked and ready to go!

5- What can we all do right now to make this world a better place?

First, I believe we need to control our words and think about how we talk to one another. Second, we obviously need to think about our health—with all that is going on in the world, being able to get your health under control is almost essential to our survival. So, helping others learn to create a healthy lifestyle so they can live their best life is what it’s all about. Love thy neighbor, right? Well, the world is my neighbor, and I want to do my best to create a healthier, cleaner, safer, happier world for us and the generations to come.

6- In less than a minute, without sounding like a used car salesperson, tell us where to find you, and what is the next big thing that everyone should be anticipating from you?

You can find me at my website, on IG on YouTube, and on Facebook. I'm excited to be working with some awesome new companies and creating the ability to do one-on-one virtual personal training and coaching sessions.
